On 27th July 2024 (2081 Shrawan 12), Saral Nepal, together with Chitwan Green Leo Club and YASEN, has organized an “Interaction and Consultation Program on Climate Change with Social Organizations” at Tharu Welfare Assembly Hall, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-22. The event was facilitated by Mr. Manish Poudel, President of Saral Nepal, was present as the Chief Guest was Mr. Surya Bahadur Gurung, Chairperson of Ward Bharatpur-22. The major speakers were Mr. Apil Ghimire, a renowned social personality and social activist, who talked about the global crises of climate change and its impacts, and Mr. Manoj Kumar Dhakal, an agricultural specialist, who gave training on climate change mitigation using sustainable techniques. The event was attended by social leaders and guests from other organizations, such as Mr. Bigyan Poudel (Vice President, Leo District Council 325R Nepal), Mr. Bimochan Acharya (Treasurer, Leo District Council 325R Nepal), Ms. Rakshya Karki (Region Chief, Leo District Council 325R Nepal), Ms. Sushmita Ghimire (President, Leo Club of Balkumari College), Mr. Yagya Bilas Poudel (Director, Central College), Mr. Ganesh Poudel (Vice President, YASEN), ward members, guests from Saral Nepal, members of the Tole Sudhar Committees, and other social personalities. The event was moderated by Mr. Rupak Ghimire and was sponsored by Central College, with the organizers expressing gratitude to all the individuals who participated and contributed. The event was executed to successfully, promoting debate, sensitization, and mutual commitment to climate action and sustainable community development.
