As we were marching through the cleanliness ride through the city, we saw the scarcity of trees amidst the roads and even fields. That’s when we had a talk about initiating a Tree Plantation Programme, which transcended to reality on 2nd Jul, 2022. We decided to combine diverse Species of plants ranging from tropical to subtropical backgrounds, as they tend to grow in a moderate span of time and the climate seems particularly beneficial. We wanted a very influential chief guest for this project, as tree plantation had been neglected by the locality. We were assisted by Bhati Kaji Tham, Area Police Inspector, and Gitanagar. He didn’t only highlight the role of tree plantation in health but also planted the trees along with 30 local volunteers. It was a great opportunity for us to make local people aware of environmental degradation and its remedy.
